A little help with your keyboard.
From your first setup to everyday shortcuts. Find an answer, then get back to writing.
Getting started
How do I add AspectKey to my iPhone or iPad?
Once the app is installed, open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… and select AspectKey. Open a writing app, touch and hold the globe key, then choose AspectKey.
Follow the installation guideHow do I switch between AspectKey and another keyboard?
While a keyboard is open, touch and hold the globe or keyboard-switch key and choose the keyboard you want. You can return to AspectKey through that same menu.
Do I need to enable Full Access?
Full Access is not required for basic typing. Some features do need it: the sticker panel, adding new text from the clipboard, haptic feedback and custom key sounds. It also enables the iOS supplementary dictionary used for suggestions.
To enable it, open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → AspectKey, then turn on Allow Full Access. Return to your writing app and select AspectKey again. Sound and haptic options must also be enabled in AspectKey; their availability depends on the device and system settings.
See the Full Access stepWhich devices does AspectKey support?
AspectKey is built for iPhone and iPad. The current app requires iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 or later. Both App Store and Google Play are currently marked Coming Soon on this website; a public store link is not available yet.
Everyday use
How do I change my keyboard language?
Open Language in the AspectKey app and choose a keyboard language. Interface Language changes the app’s menus separately. Some prediction languages use a downloadable language pack; a keyboard layout and a prediction language pack are different things.
How do I change the keyboard theme?
Open Theme in the AspectKey app, choose a theme group and select a theme. The website gallery shows 40 real theme previews.
Read the theme guideWhy aren’t word suggestions appearing?
Check that word prediction is enabled in AspectKey, and that a prediction language pack is installed for the language you selected. Prediction is not available in every language or text field. Try a normal text field in Notes after checking these settings.
How do I use clipboard history and saved phrases?
In the keyboard’s text list, use the clipboard control to open clipboard history. With Full Access enabled, Add from clipboard saves the current copied text to the history. Tap a saved entry to insert it. For phrases you choose in advance, edit My Text List in the companion app. Use the keyboard’s TEXT view to insert those saved phrases.
Read the clipboard and saved phrases guideWhy does the sticker panel ask for Full Access?
The keyboard’s sticker panel requires Full Access. Enable Allow Full Access for AspectKey in iOS Settings, then return to the keyboard and open the sticker panel again.
