AspectKey Privacy Policy

1. About the App
AspectKey is a custom keyboard app for iPhone. This policy covers the AspectKey container app and the AspectKey keyboard extension.
2. Data We Collect: None
We operate no servers and use no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app and keyboard do not log, record, or transmit your keystrokes. Our App Store privacy declaration is “Data Not Collected”.
Single exception — Typing Study (TestFlight beta only): In the beta, while the “Typing Study” screen that you start with explicit consent is open, the keyboard records — only for the sentences shown on that screen — the words and the touch position, size and timing into a file on your device. The file is never sent automatically and no network is used; you decide whether to share it, and you can delete it or withdraw consent at any time. The App Store version does not include this screen.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage. We cannot access it, and deleting the app deletes it permanently:

4. Keyboard “Full Access” Permission
The AspectKey keyboard is fully functional without Full Access (typing, prediction, autocorrect, themes). Full Access is entirely optional and enables these additional features:
- Clipboard access — saving copied text via “Add from Clipboard” and sending stickers. The clipboard is read only when you tap that button; never automatically.
- Custom key sounds — playing bundled sound files beyond the system click.
- Obtaining the iOS supplementary dictionary — iOS supplies a dictionary that may include names from Contacts and text replacements. AspectKey stores and uses these entries on the device to improve suggestions; the entries are not sent to a server.
With Full Access off, these features are disabled; the rest of the keyboard is unaffected. Your keystrokes are never transmitted under any circumstance.
5. Internet Usage
The app connects to the internet to download additional language packs (word databases); no personal data or device identifiers are sent, only a static file is downloaded. When you use the optional Speech-to-Text (Siri) screen, your microphone audio is sent to Apple’s servers for transcription through Apple’s Speech framework. It runs only while that screen is open and you start recording, and your keystrokes are never transmitted.
6. Purchases
In-app purchases (themes) are processed by Apple’s StoreKit. Payment information is handled solely by Apple; AspectKey never sees or stores card or payment details.
7. Your Photos
If you want to add custom stickers, you pick images yourself through the system picker. The app does not access your photo library; the selected image stays on your device.
8. Third Parties
Because no data is collected, nothing is shared with third parties. There are no ad networks, analytics services, or social SDKs.
9. Children’s Privacy
Since no data is collected, no data is collected from children. The app is rated 4+.
10. Your Rights (GDPR / KVKK)
No personal data is processed, so there is nothing to erase or export; you manage all local data yourself by deleting the app or using in-app settings (e.g. “Clear Clipboard History”). You can still contact us with any questions.
11. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated. Significant changes will be announced in the app and on this page; the current version always lives at this address.
